KCOBA (Toronto) in partnership with Dent-A-Care Mobile Clinic is pleased to have established a dental care program at Kingston College. The initial phase covers the cost of treatment for a limited number of students plus 2 auxiliary workers. The hope is to expand this program to cover all the students who are in need. The program's success will be dependent on the generous financial support of friends, past students and the wider community.
The emergence of COVID-19 has completely disrupted life as we knew it. Governments, businesses, institutions, organizations and individuals have had to make major adjustments to their once routine business practices and social activities. The traditonal fundraising efforts that many institutions like Kingston College Old Boy's Association has relied on over the years has been severely hampered. We hope that during or after tonight's event that "Old Boys" and supporters will be inspired to ensure that after 95 Years of Excellence the Fortis Family and Kingston College not only survive COVID-19 but thrive in the new normal to reach the century.
The KC Cadet Corp has influenced the lives of many active and outstanding leaders of society. Combined with their academic achievements, the training that the cadets received has allowed them to develop leadership and public speaking skills which they are able to transfer to the corporate, military and political fields.
Kingston College has won "Champs" more than any other school in Jamaica. 1975 marked the end of the longest winning streak by any school in the history of "Champs" - fourteen consecutive years. In 1964, it was the first non-USA high school to participate and win an event at the prestigious world famous Penn Relays.
