Fortis Annual Reunion & Awards Banquet (2026)
An Evening of Elegance
This year we’ll be returning to the elegant Peter and Paul Banquet Hall, in Toronto, on Saturday, November 7th, for our annual flagship fundraising event.
Cocktails will start at 6:00 p.m., with dinner to follow at around 7:30 p.m. For dinner, we’ll be treated to a mouth-watering scrumptious taste of Jamaican cuisine catered by the top-notch in-house team at Peter and Paul.
Entertainment will be provided by Emcee/Entertainer, Danae Peart, who I’m sure will have us laughing throughout the evening. We’ll have a special soulful performance by vocalist, Ariel, who’ll be backed up by the multi-talented guitarist, Omar. DJ Bobby will serve up hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s…that will have us on our feet dancing all night long.
At this year’s event, we’ll be recognizing community service stalwarts, Alene Chen and Rhona Dunwell, for their tremendous contribution to youth education and development in Jamaica and the diaspora community.
We’ll also be granting the Maurice MacDonald scholarship to two well-deserving students in their first semester of post-secondary studies.
The proceeds from this event will help fund the school’s welfare programs, infrastructure upgrades, and secondary, and post-secondary, scholarships for qualified students, just to name a few…
